Dr. Khater Abi Habib is born in year 1951 in Roumieh, El Maten, Lebanon.He is holder of a B.A. in Economics; M.A. in Economics & Governmental Studies; Ph.D. in Government and Social Anthropology, all from the University of Manchester, UK.

He occupied the positions of Delegated Member of the Board of Directors then Vice President of the Lebanese Swiss Bank s.a.l.

He is currently the Chairman and General Manager of both the NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR THE GUARANTEE OF DEPOSITS and KAFALAT S.A.L.
