Marianne Hoayek graduated in Business Economics from the Lebanese American University (LAU) and in Law from the Lebanese University and obtained her Masters Degree in Laws of Banks and Capital Markets from the Saint Joseph University (USJ).
She is currently the Executive Director heading the Executive Office at Banque du Liban since its establishment in July 2007. The Office reports directly to the Governor and carries out any specific task upon the request of His Excellency.
Mrs. Hoayek is member of the official Lebanese delegation to the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings, and member of several committees such as the Investment Committee and the Open Market Committee.
The Executive Office is entrusted with many functions.
Its main mission is to manage and follow up the organizational and reform projects that fall within BDL strategic orientation, and to coordinate their implementation in due time with the concerned departments and units.
Moreover, the Executive Office oversees the implementation of BDL Intermediate Circular 331 relating to the capitalization of startups, with a view to boost the Lebanese economy through facilities granted to banks that support startups and knowledge economy.
It examines thoroughly all employees’ files relating to their loans, training needs and other requests in order to ensure a healthy work environment. A Web Platform (EOWP) was specifically launched by the Executive Office to run BDL information and administrative work (BDL latest news, administrative texts, correspondence, training information, etc).
It handles all public relations locally and internationally as requested by the Governor.
Finally, and in order to further BDL humanitarian and social commitment and ensure a sustainable social and economic growth, the Executive Office promotes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by launching and leading social projects, events, and initiatives.
