Dr. Ziad Yammine is one of the founders of YLE GmbH Germany and YL Engineering Lebanon. YLE is a producer of testing machinery and industrial automation systems. Products have been supplied to factories and laboratories in the EU, Eastern Europe, Russia, Arabia, Central Asia, India, China, USA and Australia.

Dr. Yammine received his PhD in Industrial Engineering in 1991 and MS in Mechanical Engineering in 1987 from the University of Cincinnati. He received his BS in Computer Science in 1985 from Purdue University.

Dr. Yammine  have worked in industry and have been involved in R&D in academia and in industry both in the USA and in Lebanon. Both have been active in attempting to promote Knowledge Based Industry, and improving quality of engineering education in Lebanon.
