Neda Al-Dihany – Brilliant Lab – Kuwait

Neda Al-Dihany is the founder of Brilliant Lab, which is a startup accelerator service. He has enjoyed a successful career in business development through his work on major projects in the educational and oil sectors in both Kuwait and Qatar.

After earning his MBA from IE Business School in 2010, Neda started Brilliant Lab in 2012 with the goal of enhancing the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth by matching the best startups with the potential investments community in Kuwait and throughout the Arabian Gulf.

To date, Brilliant Lab has helped to accelerate  more than 50 startups from Kuwait in various fields. It has also a various acceleration programs, 2013, 2014 ,2015 with a partnership IE Business School and also with Mind the Bridge, one of the top startup schools in San Francisco ,Silicon Valley.

Andra Larin – Business Model Generation – Germany

Andra Larin-van der Pijl is working with innovative and R&D intensive companies in developing the sustainable business models, in accessing private and public funding and leveraging available tax incentives.

After a decade of successfully consulting 10+ countries in the process of integration to the European Union, running a consulting boutique and managing the Dutch operations of a mobile app business, she found her passion in helping the start-ups and small companies bringing their ideas to the market and finding the way in the labyrinth of European cash and tax measures.

She is one of the co-creators of the book ‘Business Model Generation’, a tax lawyer and an entrepreneur, thereby combining various perspectives in showing how business model canvas can help in understanding, leading and innovating the businesses.

Aziza Sheerin – General Assembly – Singapore

Aziza believes education (when delivered well) is transformative, and holds the key to empowerment. She loves exploring better methods of teaching and learning, and is especially intrigued by initiatives that plug the gap between education and employment.

Aziza is currently the Director for Singapore at General Assembly, an educational institution that is building a community of individuals empowered to pursue work they love through education and opportunity in technology, design and business.

Prior to this, Aziza covered Emerging Markets Asia for a 110-year old, not-for-profit financial education firm. She worked on new market expansion and building partnerships with governments, international development organizations, and stakeholders invested in advancing education and economic growth in emerging Asian economies. Some of the initiatives she worked on include promoting responsible financial and business practices, corporate governance, SME development, financial literacy, and education to employability.

Marc Atiyeh – Paribus – New York

Marc is currently the Head of Growth of Paribus, a startup that saves shoppers money by automatically claiming price drop and price match guarantees on their behalf. He focuses on growth efforts from operations, partnerships, and marketing. Prior to joining Paribus, he was a Business Operations and Planning Analyst at Flurry, which is a part of Yahoo! (San Francisco). Before he became part of the Flurry team, Marc founded Help Me Get In, a college consulting start-up that mentored 50+ high-schoolers to gain admission into top notch US/UK universities. He has also interned and been involved in other industries including ad-tech and venture capital.

Marc graduated from Harvard College in 2014, where he earned his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also played on the Harvard squash team. Marc was key in energizing the early stage entrepreneurial community at Harvard and collaborated with the Innovation Laboratory (iLab) at Harvard Business School.

Martin Jaenhart – Binee – Germany

Martin has a passion for challenge, change, sustainability and impact.

During his studies, he co-founded the NGO Schuelerpaten Berlin, helping Arabic youth in Berlin to finish their school.
An industrial engineer, he worked for the BMW i3 & i8 EV program before supporting the first flight preparations of Airbus A350 XWB.

Coming back to university for his design thinking studies, he co-founded dreiklangkleidung.de, a fair fashion label focusing on a regional supply chain, reviving the craftsmenship of the Erzgebirge in Germany. After a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2014, the small team recently won the Saxonian Environmental Award.

His current startup, Binee is bringing waste & fun together. Binee rewards the user for his recycling efforts through an app and enables highly specific waste separation through user engagement.
An international team, Binee hopes to bring their project to Lebanon as soon as possible.
Passions: brainstorming, early stage projects, team building
